The Bachelor (January 31st, 2011)

{The Bachelor (January 31st, 2011) Spoilers}

This week the ladies and Brad jetted off to Las Vegas! There are only 11 ladies left; I can’t believe how quickly it is flying by!

{Dates}

He started the show off by taking Shawntel to the mall on an awesome shopping spree.

 How amazing would that be? She was able to pick anything that she wanted from the whole entire mall and boy did she!  She got so many adorable shoes, dresses, bags… no wonder the other girls were dying with jealousy; not only over the date itself but over the experience that she got to have. That wasn’t the end though; he then took her out to dinner on a rooftop and an amazing fireworks show. Uh, the problem? She is a funeral director and an embalmer so she spent all of *dinner* talking about dead people and how too many incisions can cause fluid leakage… not my idea of great first date chit chat (especially while eating), but I guess Brad liked it; he kept her. She got the rose on the date.

Then there was the group date with Jackie, Emily, Lisa M., Marissa, Alli, Chantal, Britt and Michelle.

This group date they went and drove race cars, which was really an awful idea considering Emily’s history and the fact that the love of her life (who passed away) was a race car driver; of course Brad had no idea about her history when he planned the date. So Emily tried to stay strong and she did pretty well! She got in that car and she drove around the track, I was a really big step for her.

Brad took Emily aside a few times during the date and I loved it! I want him to pick her, so of course I support this! The other girls however… they didn’t really appreciate it at all. They were pissed that he kept taking Emily to the side to make sure she was feeling ok and some of them had not really ever spent one on one time with him. It makes sense, I get that they were mad, I just didn’t care! HA HA HA!

Crazy Michelle pulled him aside and tried to talk bad about the other girls but Brad stopped her short. I feel like she has him so fooled and I can’t stand her craziness! She is so stalker-ish!

He gave the date rose to Emily! Woohoo!

The two Ashley’s (Ashley S. and Ashley H.) who became best friends in the house were on the 2-on-1 date, they were pretty upset because the 2-on-1 means that 1 of them has to go home after that date. They both looked stunning! They went to the Cirque Du Soleil show Viva Elvis and they did some performing. Then they were told that Brad and one of the girls would be in the actual show that night; Brad had to choose which girl! Oh, the pressure! They went out to dinner and had some obviously awkward conversation; I mean really, how would it be to go on a date with two people? In the end he chose to keep Ashley H. and send Ashley S. home.

{The Cocktail Party}

During the cocktail party he pulled Alli aside and set up a special little mini-date with her, with champagne and a little decorative cake. It was adorable, very nice to see him going out of his way to prove his feelings to the ladies who he really feels strongly about.

Marissa pulled him aside and gave him some little notes, because she loves “the little things.”

Crazy, crazy Michelle took him into the room and shut the door; she told him that he was not allowed to talk… man, that girl is whacky! She told him that he has big decisions to make (like he didn’t know) and then she alluded to the fact that the other girls didn’t “get” how great he is. She seriously gags me a little. Then she kissed him and reminded him to pick her and let the other girls go home.

{And the rose goes to}

Going into the rose ceremony these ladies had roses already from their dates- Shawntel, Emily and Ashley H.

These girls got a rose at the ceremony-
Michelle, Alli, Britt, Jackie and the final rose went to Chantal

 These girls got sent home tonight-
Marissa and Lisa
